What do the buildings of the city look like, when you glimpse at them from a distance and for the first time? The graffiti walls and the “dirty paintings”? What kind of images are impressed upon its wanderers?

“Buildings compatibility and beautiful facades are one of the most important matter in Civil Architecture. Especially in a city like Athens.
Athens is one of the Civilization Cradles.
Athens is one of the European Capitals.
Athens is a tourist city and tourist income is worth for this city.
So, in such a city, buildings compatibility and view is more important. But when we walk in Athens streets, especially in the city center, we do not see any compatibility or harmony between buildings. Also, we see that there are some ugly facade buildings. It will affect on tourist income, also on citizens’ morale. The Municipality, Department of Housing and Urban Development have to do somethings about”.

“While I was thinking which subject I have to choose, I went to the neighborhood around SERAFIO. What attracted my attention more than anything else was graffiti and dirty painting on the walls. So, I decided to choose that. Indeed, I was wondering if it will be interesting to share it with other people and find out what the public thinks about it. Also, what is their reflex, how they feel and what they will do if they can change that”.
